Flirting! Great fun when you get it right, so here are some tips to make sure you do.

- Smile at the person you are interested in, this will bring out your positivity. A flirty smile can be wider than a regular smile and helps show the other person know you like them.

-  Be complimentary, flattery will get you get everywhere as they say.

- Use eye contact, looking at the person your attracted to for longer than usual is a sign you like them (but don’t stare, that will just scare them away).

- Keep the conversation positive, you want to show the other person that you are fun. So avoid subjects that could result in dispute for example religion or exes.

Even if flirting doesn’t always come naturally to you, it is a skill that can be developed with a little practice.

There are plenty of opportunities to put these flirting tips in to practise at one of our fabulous Dance Parties or Speed Dating events.

Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be a painful challenge. Whether you’ve lost a partner to death, divorce or a break-up, you need to allow yourself time to grieve. But after a healthy dose of coming to terms with the what, whys and where for’s, sad tunes and moping around, you’ll want to start dating again. Here are our tips on dating after a relationship ends.

Get out there!

The first step in dating is getting off the couch and out of the house. Aim for a girls’ or lads’ night out or an after-work happy hour, so that you can adjust to being in the social scene without the pressure of being "picked up."

As you brush up on your conversation skills, pay attention to how often you’re bringing up your ex. Whilst It’s Ok to mention you have only recently become single, don’t make your relationship break-up the only topic of conversation. Be open to meeting new people without having romance on the agenda and get used to being single and flirting again!

You’ve got used to being single and social. You’ve practiced flirting. The time is right, you’re ready to date. But dating doesn’t have to be a nerve-wracking experience. When you’ve finally met someone you’re ready to go out with, make it fun! Go on a double date with another couple or bring your date along on a group outing with close friends.

When you’re ready to go one-on-one with your date, remember, dinner and the cinema isn’t the only option. Take the pressure off by going to lunch and a gallery or any other place of interest, where there is no pressure on you or your date for anything other than just enjoying each others company and getting to know each other.

Speed Dating is the newest dating phenomenon that is growing by the day in the UK. If you are single and too busy to go out hunting for love, speed dating is a great solution to finding the “chosen one”.

Speed Dating rules are very simple, various men and women meet in a room and are divided in couples of the opposite sex. Each couple has three minutes to learn as much as possible from each other. When the bell rings you move on to the next person and start all over again. Depending on the speed dating event, you can end up meeting up to 20 men or women.

At the end of the speed dating event you write it down the persons name on a card you would like to meet again and hand it to the organisers. If that person also has the same interests as you the organisers will contact you with their details.

People might think that speed dating is a thing for older people, over 30s or 40s, but here in the UK more and more young people are attending speed dating events, alleging that they don’t have the time to meet that “special one”.

Speed Dating has been proving to be very effective and great fun, rumours are going around that pretty soon we will have the first marriage in the UK originated from a speed dating event.
