Accompanied by their friends, the offenders are taken to a local church, town hall or opera house, where the men are made to sweep the steps while the women have to clean shoe polish-covered door handles. They can only be released from these onerous tasks when kissed by a virgin of the opposite sex, possibly one who may release them from their “offensive” state of singledom. Some facts that may surprise you about body language:

- Although it can differ slightly, research has found that it takes between 90 seconds and 4 minutes to decide if we fancy someone. And it has little to do with what we say.

- 55% of the impression we get from someone comes through our body language.

- 38% is from the tone, speed and inflection of our voice.

- And just 7% is from what we say!

So getting your body language right straight away is important, you can save all your exciting stories for a later date.

Well first of all, be confident walk like you own the room and make sure you seem interested in what the other person has to say.
