First Dates can be nerve racking in themselves, so the last thing you want is to have nothing to say.

Being prepared will help the conversation flow easier, here are a few tips to help you on your way and prevent those awkward silences:

- To begin with questions about the menu, food or the wine they enjoy are good ice-breakers.

- You want to make sure your date knows you are interested in them, so ask questions about their work, where they live and their hobbies is key.

- However try not overload them with so many questions, that they feel they’re on trial!

- If the date is going well, you should be feeling relaxed.

- So why not now ask what films they have seen recently and if there are any films on they are wanting to see at the moment. This could be a great way of setting up a second date, if the other person is keen you’ll be able to tell from their response.

Whilst asking questions is good, don’t forget to listen to the answers, with this combination you’re on your way to being a great date!
