We carefully hand-pick our DJs to make sure that they're the very best; it goes without saying that it's vital to have the right music to guarantee a good time is had by all! At our party nights you can expect a good mix of current chart and dance music, hits from yesteryear, requests, and some smoochy numbers too. We occasionally have special themed party nights such as Motown & Soul and Solid Gold Hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Our DJs play requests too but this is at their discretion, so if you've asked for something that they think will clear the dance floor, they don't have to play it! HERE'S SOME BACKGROUND INFO ON A FEW OF OUR CURRENT DJs...

Roddy Richardson

Roddy has worked as resident DJ at Cavershams Night Club in Caversham, Reading, Rebecca’s Night Club in Reading and the Top Rank, as well as playing at private functions of all kinds. He started as a DJ with his brother when he was 14 and is still going strong at 49! For the past 6 years, he's been DJ-ing with his partner Graham. They say their aim as DJs is to play what the people ask for, and with a collection of over 200,000 song titles they should be able to keep everyone happy!

Rick Herrin

Cloud Nine Disco: Rick has been in the music business since the age of 14 and, over the years, has played lead guitar and bass guitar for various bands. He got into the "DJ thing" by chance whilst at the Hard Rock Cafe in Spain, playing British and American hits and rock music to Brits on holiday. Once back in the UK, he got a mobile "disco rig" together for DJ gigs, although he continued with some live music gigs too. Rick has been DJ-ing now for about 16 years (many of them for us) and during that time has played at venues such as the California Ballroom, Blazers and Ronnie Scott's - he really enjoys DJ-ing at our party nights too!

Iain Robinson

Musical Connections: Iain played his first gig at the tender age of 14 (they start young these DJs don't they!). His claim to fame is he performed with Joslyn Brown and although one of his personal music preferences is funky-house (and he hates Abba), his choice of music at our discos is always varied, with everyone up and dancing all night long!

Ken Rolph

Sunset Discos: Ken Rolph has been a professional DJ for over 25 years and for the past 10 has been making regular appearances DJ-ing at our events where he’s renowned for his excellent mixing. Ken is also a children's entertainer and regularly takes his mobile disco to their parties as well as performing some magic and balloon modelling. He has been the resident DJ at several of Surrey's premier hotels for some years and has also provided music for many hundreds of occasions, from Weddings and Birthday Parties to high profile corporate events.

John Millard

With over 40 years' experience of all types of dance music from up to date to the past, John has played in many big night spots including Hammersmith Palais, Tiger Tiger and the Sports Café. He has also appeared on MTV, Channel 4 and Meridian Television. John says "My aim is to keep that dance floor busy; if you request it and I have it then it will be played. I am here to make your evening out as enjoyable as I can!"

Mark Hanson

You'll mainly find Mark DJ-ing for us at the N.Y. Bar in Cobham where he's already built up a regular following with his popular choice of music. He's been on the DJ circuit for some 20 years now, playing at various bars, clubs, hotels and golf clubs as well as at many private functions such as weddings, birthdays and corporate events, etc. He also DJs regularly at venues such as Cobham Rugby Club, HMS President London. He's looking forward to seeing you at the N.Y. Bar soon!

Johnny H

Funky by name and funky by nature, DJ Johnny H just cannot resist playing the very funkiest tunes from over 4 decades! His music roots go back to the late 70's funk, soul and rare groove era, and he has many fond memories of the Caister Soul Weekend scene. Music is a passion for John and he keeps our Essex and Herts dance floors rocking with only the very best vibes: current chart, R&B, Club, Ibiza and Funky House classics, plus old favourites. To say this is just the tip of what John plays is an understatement; join Johnny H and the funkiest dance floor in town!

Terry Peters Discotheques

Terry's been a professional music presenter since 1986 and prestigious gigs have included The Savoy, Park Lane Hotel, Stringfellows and Ronnie Scotts. Terry's a radio DJ too, having spent 13 years presenting on Choice fm London and his talents also extend to being a voiceover artist, compere and quizmaster and he spent time on TV's QVC presenting the Dancemania programme. Terry says "My personal collection of music is in excess of 300,000, spanning everything from popular categories over the last 60 years to current chart - and it even includes new music prior to release!"

John Jackson "JJ"

JJ has DJ'd for us on and off for many years, so if you've been coming to our parties for a while you may recognise him. He really knows how to create a fantastic fun party atmosphere - he's even managed to get our members Conga-ing at a Friday party night - no mean feat! He may not be smiling is his picture, but he's a jolly guy with a great sense of humour and a vast music collection - so if you see him DJ-ing at our party nights, prepare for a terrific time!
