Venue Directions . . .
From M25: Exit at junction 28 and take 2nd exit off slip road, signposted Brentwood A1023. Continue for about 1.5 miles and into Brentwood High Street, then turning left into Ongar Road (A128). Follow Ongar Road for approximately 2 miles and you will then see the sign for Ashwells Country Club on the righthand side. IMPORTANT! If using Sat Nav to find this venue, you should put “WESTCOMBE DRIVE EN5 2BE” into your Sat Nav and not just the postcode, otherwise your system could send you anywhere within a 5 mile radius of where you want to go. Wherever you are coming from, please ALSO read directions from*** below which will greatly assist you in finding the CORRECT ENTRANCE for this venue. DIRECTIONS FROM M25 or FROM NORTH OF BARNET: Exit M25 at J23 and follow signs for A1081 to Barnet, then at traffic light junction in Barnet High Street, continue onto the A1000. Follow A1000 down Barnet Hill, passing Barnet tube station on your left. ***Then at the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, take the SECOND turning on the RIGHT into Fairfield Way. NOTE: There is only about ten yards between the first and second turnings on the right, and you want the one IMMEDIATELY AFTER the Old Red Lion Pub. *Once in Fairfield Way, take the FIRST RIGHT into Westcombe Drive, then FIRST LEFT (easy to miss!) into PRIORY GROVE, which looks like it's just an alleyway, but it's not! Ignore ALL other signs for Barnet FC and/or Car Parking) Drive down Priory Grove and into car park and you'll see a sign for The Durham Suite. DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTH OF BARNET: Proceed along the Great North Road (A1000).
You will pass the Barnet Odeon cinema on your left.
Immediately after the Odeon you will see a BP petrol station on your left.
Take FIRST LEFT after the petrol station into Fairfield Way (it's just before the Old Red Lion pub), and then follow directions from *above.

From Bracknell: At "Met Office" r/about, take the A3095 twds Maidenhead. When you come to a T junction, turn left still on A3095. After several miles at another T junction, turn left onto the A330 (signposted Maidenhead). In about a quarter of a mile at a r/about, go left into Drift Rd and Bird Hills is about 50 yards along on left.
From M4: Exit M4 J8/9 and take exit "Maidenhead Central". Down dual carriageway to roundabout and take last exit "Ascot/Bracknell A330". Follow for several miles (passing through Holyport) and at r/about, take last exit into Drift Road and Bird Hills is about 50 yards along on left.

From Ascot: Take A329 to Bracknell and at "3M" Roundabout, take the B3408. Continue on B3408 going straight over first two roundabouts, and at third roundabout turn right into Temple Way and, almost immediately, LEFT into Wood Lane. Follow the long drive and then turn right into the car park. From M4 Eastbound: Leave the M4 at Junction 10 and follow the A329(M) towards Bracknell. Take the first exit off onto the A329 and at the roundabout turn left towards the ski centre. Go through two sets of traffic lights. Go over the next large roundabout and then turn left into Wood Lane. Follow the long drive and then turn right into the car park.

From M25: Exit at Juntion 9 and follow signs for Dorking & Box Hill. The Burford Bridge Hotel is on the A24 set back from the Mickleham roundabout at the foot of Box Hill.

From the A1/A10/M11/M25. Approaching from the east: Take junction 7 of the M11, follow signs for Harlow. Then take the A414 and then onto the A1169 (Elizabeth Way). Continue along the A1169 and you'll see Canons Brook Golf Club on your righthand side. Approaching from the west: Take A10 and follow signs on to the A414. Continue on A414, turning right at a roundabout onto A1169 (Elizabeth Way). Canons Brook Golf Cub is along there on the right.

Leave M4 at junction 3, and then turn south onto the A312 (signposted Heathrow T4 and Cargo, Feltham, A4). At traffic lights, turn left onto High Street (signposted Heston). At the first mini-roundabout, bear left and at next mini-roundabout, turn right into Crane Lodge Road where you'll see The Concorde Club which has free parking for up to 200 cars. From Oxford: Leave M40 at junction 4 signposted High Wycombe (A40). At end of slip road take third exit off roundabout A404 / Marlow Hill. At next roundabout take second exit A404 / Marlow Hill. On dual carriageway (going down hill) bear to right, and after "U2 Turn" lane, take right hand filter lane (with traffic lights, and turn right across dual carriageway onto Daws Hill Lane. Continue on Daws Hill Lane crossing over M40. Continue into Heath End Road. At mini-roundabout go straight into the Straight Bit. After Community Centre (on left) turn left into Common Road. This filters into Treadaway Road. The visitor's entrance to Flackwell Heath Golf Club is a few hundred yards on the right. Note: at Junction 3 M40 there is no exit from the west or entrance to the west.
From London: Leave M40 at junction 3 signposted High Wycombe East (A40) (n.b. there is no exit from the west or entrance to the west at this junction). At end of slip road take first exit off roundabout A4094 / Knaves Beech Way. At end of Knaves Beech Way turn right at mini-roundabout onto Boundary Road. At next mini-roundabout turn left onto Treadaway Hill. Go up hill (under M40) and turn left onto Treadaway Road. The main entrance to Flackwell Heath Golf Club is almost immediately on the left, the entrance to the visitor's car park is 50 yards further.

From M3: Exit at J3 and follow A322 (signposted Bracknell) and continue for a few miles until you reach a major junction with traffic lights (you'll see Hilton on left). Filter left there and at r/about take last exit and Hotel entrance just along there on right.From M4: At junction 10, take A329M signposted Bracknell and continue to end. At Twin Bridges roundabout, follow sign M3/Bagshot/A322 and continue over several roundabouts until you arrive at a big traffic light junction. Look to your right and you will see the Hilton Bracknell, but you have to filter off LEFT and then cross over the dual carriageway. Then at mini-roundabout, take last exit and Hilton is just along there on right.

This venue is easily accessible from the M25 junction 16, the M40 junction 1 and the A412 - and is about a 10 minute drive from other local towns: Uxbridge, Ickenham, Rickmansworth, Northwood and Ruislip. The Horse & Barge is only about 7 minutes' walk from Denham station. Should you need it, the 331 bus stops right outside. And if you're coming on your boat, you can moor up outside the pub! From M4: Exit 8/9: On exiting M4, follow signs for Maidenhead Central. At the next roundabout take the third exit, signposted A308 Windsor/Bray, Legoland. Then take the left turning which is signposted to Bray Village, B3028 into the Upper Bray Road. As you approach the village, take the first turning right into Old Mill Lane, which is opposite the Crown pub. Straight over the crossroads then follow Old Mill Lane as far as you can go, passing over the motorway. At the end of the lane, turn left at the pink house and enter the car park where there is plenty of free parking. Access to Hotel is via the footbridge beside a small hexagonal hut.

Roydon is easily found from the A1/A10/M11/M25. Approaching from the east: Take junction 7 of the M11, follow signs for Harlow, then take the A414 and A1169 to Roydon. Approaching from the west: Take A10 and follow signs for the A414 onto the B181 to Roydon. All approaches are signposted with the familiar brown and white tourist board signs. Roydon Mill is on the Roydon Mill Estate, at the north end of Roydon High Street, next to the level crossing of Roydon Railway Station. If you'd like to see a map, click here.
