LAST WEEK’S LAUNCH PARTY AT BERWICK MANOR HOTEL

HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!  The weather has been very good to us and hope it lasts through the whole of summer……

Last Friday, 15th June we revisited an old haunt and had our Launch party at the Berwick Manor Hotel in Rainham.  The music was great and the marquee set up which is extended from the function room was a good addition to space.  However, the numbers attended were not so great.  We think it was because there were two of our parties in the same area on the same night!!!! Doh…..

Those who came liked the refurbishment of this venue and enjoyed themselves and said they would definitely come again.  The whole place looked more spacious and very well organised, the only thing missing were people. The other parties we had last weekend had good turnouts, even the party at Richmond was well attended.

We have decided to cancel all our parties at Richmond during the winter months due to the lack of lighting in the parking area and parking problems we had last year.  This decision is taken with our members safety as priority and also to ensure the ladies are not at risk of ruining their shoes or tripping on stones when walking from the carpark to the function suite. These are all feedback from members and we are taking action to avoid them since we can’t improve the situation.  So our last party at Richmond this year will be on Friday, 14th September and we will resume again in May of 2019.

We also have another launch party this Friday, 22nd June at a new venue in the Hertfordshire area, Rickmansworth Golf Club, Moor Lane, Rickmansworth WD3 1QL.  Our parties will be held in the Fairway Inn and the room is very spacious with a large dance floor, lots of free  parking and very competitive drinks prices.  Come along and join the fun!  See you there!
